The three chosen ones are Ana, a thirty-two year old upper class woman, Valentina, a young woman of humble origins and El Chayo, a patriarch and sexagenarian evangelist preacher. The tests carried out decide that the kidney goes to El Chayo, but thanks to this fortuitous encounter, strong bonds are created between the characters and their families.

Cásese quien Pueda (2014)

Cásese quien Pueda is a romantic comedy set partially in Mexico City and partially in jungle locations in the state of Quintana Roo. It tells the story of two sisters who have completely different goals: one to get married, the other to pursue a career; and how life leads them to exchange their dreams and end up in the least expected place. Ana Paula (Martha Higareda) is about to get married when she discovers that her boyfriend is cheating on her with her cousin. During a night of drinking, she ends up falling asleep in the trunk of the pick-up truck of a worker who is traveling to a village in Quintana Roo. When she wakes up, Ana Paula realizes that she is far away from home and looks for a way to return, but on the way she will meet an enigmatic doctor (Michel Brown), an indigenous family and the memory of a career she wanted to study, elements that will help her turn her life goals upside down. Meanwhile, her sister Daniela (played by Miriam Higareda, Martha’s sister in real life) doesn’t even want to think about love, since she has a career ahead of her. However, she meets Gustavo (Luis Gerardo Méndez), her childhood friend, who, in less than two weeks, manages to change Daniela’s mind and finally contemplates marriage.

Flight of the Butterflies (2012)

Dr. Urqhart and his wife Norah faced many challenges to fulfill their dream and learn the fate of these insects; they spent years trying different ways to tag butterflies and track their routes. They enlisted the support of 3,000 “citizen scientists” who searched for decades for butterflies across North America. In 1975, they found millions of monarch butterflies in the forests between the State of Mexico and Michoacán.

Mariachi Gringo (2012)

Portrays the life of Edward (Shawn Ashmore) of American origin, his passion for Mexican music leads him to travel to Guadalajara to become a Mariachi. Along the way he meets two beautiful tapatías, a feeling he never imagined, Lilia (Martha Higareda) and Sophia (Lila Downs).

El Mariachi Gringo explores through music, the search for a dream, despite cultural, personal, social and geographic obstacles.

Espacio Interior (2012)

Lazaro (Kuno Becker) is kidnapped and locked in a 3×1.5 meter room, daily receiving food and water through a crack. His only contact with the outside world is the music he listens to on an old tape recorder. After being forced to reveal personal information about his relatives, he feels he has betrayed them and falls into a deep depression, so he decides to abandon himself to death.

It is based on a true story that shows how a man’s will to live and the strength of his spirit is unbreakable.
